WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can participate, even without a blog. The only thing you need to do then is to comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a fantastic way to share what you’ve been reading! If you’re ready, answer these three questions and share the link to your blog in the comments section of her blog.
The three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
WWW Wednesday – Weekly Reading Update (2/20/19)
What are you currently reading?
This week I was supposed to read Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skie and Illuminae by Amy Kauffman and Jay Kristoff, but that did not happen. Instead, I read a romance that I mention later in this post. These two books are still hot on my list, but I will probably read them next week.
A few days ago, I saw a minor spoiler on Instagram that made me want to read The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater. I should be done with this book tonight, and let me tell you – I really love it so far. The downside is that I don’t think I’m ready for this series to end. I’ll try to post a review tomorrow.
What did you recently finish reading?
A couple of days ago, I read Let’s Get Textual by Teagan Hunter. It was a fun read with a lot of sass and humor. The characters were engaging, and I really was in a mood for something sexy and light-hearted. The book delivered. I really enjoyed the texting part even though I wish I add more info at times. Overall, I liked it, so it was a timid four-star rating for me.
What do you think you’ll read next?
This morning I was approved on NetGalley to read Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell. I’m also part of the Book Tour, and my review is due in a month. I will start reading it tomorrow, I think, so I have time to write a decent review. Also, my goal is to maintain my 100% rating on NetGalley, so I read the books right when I’m approved to read them.
This book is going to be interesting because, 1) I’m a native French speaker and most of the words are in French, and 2) Les Misérables is one of my favorite French classics.
Update that has nothing to do with the meme:
Today is the last day for the international Wick and Fable giveaway, go check my Instagram. The Clouded by Envy giveaway is still on (Enter by using the link on my Instagram bio).
Good Luck!
What about you? What are you reading this week? Comment with your current read, and let me know how you like it so far?
Sky Without Stars cover is so beautiful. I hope the story will be the same!
Here is my WWW
I hope so too! 🙂
I highly recommend reading Illuminae, it’s an amazing story. If you have a chance, try audiobook, it’s a full cast and they make a great job with this book.
Yes! I do plan on reading this book this month. I have the book and also got the audiobook. Someone else suggested that I do both. 🤗 I’m really excited about it.
I also bumped a couple of books off my shelf to make room for Romance. I don’t know if it is Spring or Valentine’s Day but I need a little more love in my life this week! I’m stealing Ola’s recommendation for the Illuminae audiobook – I need a good audio in my life as well. Have a great week! https://silverbuttonbooks.com/2019/02/20/www-wednesday-february-20-2019/
Ahahah! I always need romance in my life no matter the season lol and I hope you enjoy Illuminae.
