WWW Wednesday – Weekly Reading Update (2/13/19)

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can participate, even without a blog. The only thing you need to do then is to comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a fantastic way to share what you’ve been reading! If you’re ready, answer these three questions and share the link to your blog in the comments section of her blog.

The three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Since I just finished the last book last night, I will officially start reading these two books today. Circle of Shadows is for my night time read, and Illuminae, my day time, because I want to try out something new. I will read the book and listen to the audio at the same time. I’ve had a few people recommend it to me because this is such a different type of book. The experience is different than a regular book. Illuminae is written as if you go through a file. It’s a pretty awesome idea.

What did you recently finish reading?

Last Sunday, I finished reading a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Gallery Books. The Unhoneymooners is an enemy-to-lover romance. This book was such a wonderful, swooning romance. I loved every minute of this book. I have a spoiler-free review posted if you want to check it out. Definitely worth reading if you want a good laugh, a good cry, and the little sigh at the end that tells you how much you’ll miss the characters.

Last night, I finished reading When Summer ends by Jessica Pennington, and I loved it. I will post a review closer to the release date per the publisher’s request. I’m excited about this book. It’s a five-star rating for me. Such a cute romance! I highly recommend it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

That’s a million dollar question because I’m only starting my current reads. I never know in advance what I’ll be reading next unless NetGalley approves one of my choices. But I would say I need to finish reading Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas, and I really want to finish The Raven Cycle series. The spirit this year is to finish all the series I’ve already started.

Update that has nothing to do with the meme:

So last night, I lost about 300 followers on my Instagram. The company is deleting all the fake/inactive accounts, and I’m glad for it. I don’t want a bunch of non-existent people to follow me.

With that said, I always wonder how much is real and how much is fake on social media. I love that I can connect with book lovers, but sometimes I wonder why people are on social media in the first place. It always amazes me to see how many fake accounts are created. Some people should read books instead; it’s a lot more productive.

Anyway, if you’re around later today, go check my Instagram, I have a little surprise for you guys at 2:00 pm PST. This has been in the pipe for a few weeks. I can’t wait to share with you.

🤫 It’s a secret!

What about you? What are you reading this week? Comment with your current read, and let me know how you like it so far?
