Twice in a Blue Moon is a sweet and swooning romance written by Christina Lauren and published by Gallery Books. This novel is set to be released on October 22, 2019.
A few months ago, I read and reviewed The Unhoneymooners by the same authors, a steamy romance and a laugh-out-loud story that I highly recommend. So, it is only natural that I requested this book. I simply had to read Twice in a Blue Moon.
Synopsis
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners and the “delectable, moving” (Entertainment Weekly) My Favorite Half-Night Stand comes a modern love story about what happens when your first love reenters your life when you least expect it…
Sam Brandis was Tate Jones’s first: Her first love. Her first everything. Including her first heartbreak.
During a whirlwind two-week vacation abroad, Sam and Tate fell for each other in only the way that first loves do: sharing all of their hopes, dreams, and deepest secrets along the way. Sam was the first, and only, person that Tate—the long-lost daughter of one of the world’s biggest film stars—ever revealed her identity to. So when it became clear her trust was misplaced, her world shattered for good.
Fourteen years later, Tate, now an up-and-coming actress, only thinks about her first love every once in a blue moon. When she steps onto the set of her first big break, he’s the last person she expects to see. Yet here Sam is, the same charming, confident man she knew, but even more alluring than she remembered. Forced to confront the man who betrayed her, Tate must ask herself if it’s possible to do the wrong thing for the right reason… and whether “once in a lifetime” can come around twice.
With Christina Lauren’s signature “beautifully written and remarkably compelling” (Sarah J. Maas, New York Times bestselling author) prose and perfect for fans of Emily Giffin and Jennifer Weiner, Twice in a Blue Moon is an unforgettable and moving novel of young love and second chances.

Review
Disclaimer: I’ve received this advanced reader copy (ARC) through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Twice in a Blue Moon will steal your heart. The story is about two teenagers, Tate Jones and Sam Brandis, who meet during a two-week vacation in London. They are immediately drawn to each other. They laugh, share unforgettable moments, and steal each other’s hearts. They both fall hard. Tate trusts Sam with everything, including her darkest, most well-kept secret. When Sam convinces Tate that they have to continue to see each other once they’re back in the States, Sam betrays Tate in a way that will break her and forever change her life.
A decade later, Tate is a famous actress landing a project that will set her career, but on her first day, she meets the one person she never thought she would ever see again, Sam Brandis. A man she is supposed to work with. Tate must push aside her own feelings to remain professional when her heart is still bruised by the betrayal.

Christina Lauren is the pen name of two authors who I’ve grown to adore. I loved reading Roomies and The Unhoneymooners. I’m now set on reading every single other book they wrote. Thank you again, NetGalley, Gallery Books, and Christina Lauren for giving me the opportunity to read this book. This is hands down a five-star rating that I highly recommend
