TOP TEN TUESDAY: Upcoming Releases I’m On the Fence About

 

 

As you may know, my TBR is out of control. This year, my goal is to read all the books that are sitting on my shelves in desperate need of attention. Will I succeed? I doubt it since I’m always adding new books, but I’m trying to be reasonable by not adding more than 5 books each month. If I read 8 to 10 books, then I may be able to catch up. At least, that’s the spirit.

 

There are a few new releases that I want to buy, but I also can’t buy everything. If you’ve read any of these books, please let me know your thoughts – or at least tell me which one you would buy for yourself.

Spin The Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

This book is everywhere, and I’ve heard various reviews on this one. I’m not sure what to think, but it’s well rated on Goodreads.  Would you recommend this one?

 

Counting Darkness by Robin LaFevers

The premise of the book is very interesting, but for some reasons, I haven’t heard much about it. This book sounds like it could be an intriguing dark fantasy, and that’s the reason why it piqued my interest.

 

Enchantée by Gita Trelease

I’m not really into historical fiction, but there are some interesting concepts (fantasy) in this story. This kind of books usually is a hit or miss for me.

 

The Antidote by Shelley Shackier

This book is interesting because the description is truly captivating. It makes me want to read it. Yet, the ratings aren’t great – not terrible either, but I would have expected a higher rating.

 

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigit Kemmerer

I’m not into retellings, but I did love A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I’m not convinced that I’m going to love this book. I know I will receive this book in one of my book subscriptions, but I have not decided on its fate just yet. What do you think? Should I give it a try?
