Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different Top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is standalone novels that deserve a sequel. This topic required some thinking since I tend to read series more than standalone books.
TOP TEN TUESDAY: Standalone Novels that deserve a sequel.
Last week’s theme was Characters I’ll never switch places with, and we are back this week to discuss Standalone novels that deserve a sequel. I know it’s a top 10, but I mostly read series, so this theme is difficult for me.
I did find 5 standalone Novels that I wouldn’t mind reading the sequel. So without further ado, here they are.
3 Standalone Novels That deserve a sequel.
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
Though there is a companion book, The girl the sea gave back, coming out at the end of the year, the book will not be a sequel from my understanding. I really enjoy reading Sky in the Deep (A 5 star rating for me) and can’t wait for the next one.
The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli
I will definitely read The Caged Queen, but I would have loved reading more about Asha and Torwyn. I need to get myself the companion book.
An Enchantment of Ravens by J.R.R. Tolkien
I really enjoy this book and would not have minded reading more about it. I’m excited though to read the author’s next book, A sorcery of Thorns. I’ve heard great things about it.
Do you enjoy reading standalone novels more than series? Let me know by dropping a line in the comment.

Happy Reading!
Lovely list! I’d to to read sequels for An Enchantment of Ravens and Sky in the Deep too, I just want more of those worlds and characters! Super excited that both authors have new books coming out though, even if they’re not sequels 😊
Me too! Can’t wait to get my hands on these books. 😊
Sky in the Deep was so great! I’d love to read more about that world. 🙂
Can’t wait for the next book even if it’s not the same story.
