End of January 2019, I decided to start book blogging. IÂ had been toying with this idea for a while, but I’ve always wondered if it was for me. Blogging takes a lot of time, and consistency is very important. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I would enjoy it after a first failed attempt last year, but I do. It’s easier for me to book blog than to discuss topics I felt ill-equiped to discuss. I love book blogging so much, and today, a month and a half later, I’m celebrating a milestone with you.
CELEBRATING A MILESTONE:
100 BLOG FOLLOWERSÂ and 8 REASONS WHY I ENJOY BOOK BLOGGINGÂ
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for your support. I couldn’t believe that my blog reached 100 followers this morning. This growth would not have been possible without you. Again, I started book blogging a month and a half ago, and I had no understanding of blog followers. I’m still learning, and I look forward to figuring things out and doing it with all of you.
This is the first step in the right direction for me. I’m still a baby in the blogging world, but we have to start somewhere, right? So, thank you again for making this happen.
Here are 8 reasons why I enjoy book blogging:
- Book Blogging is a lot more fun than I had anticipated, primarily because I get to interact with like-minded individuals. It feels amazing to discuss with someone who enjoys reading as much as you do. In my life, very few people enjoys reading like I do.
- This community is amazing. I love sharing insights with everyone and reading your input/comments. I actually discovered new books thanks to you.
- The process of sharing and putting a post together is so much fun that I posted almost every single day, which is not something I had planned.
- The reward is in small things. For example, I have passed a thousand views in this first month (February). Yay! I mean it makes me feel like I’m doing something right.
- I made some mistake but learned from them. Reading posts about the challenges that you’ve experienced taught me valuable lessons.
- Posting every day taught me a few things about discipline, prioritization, and planning. Because to be consistent, these attributes are essential.
- Blogging isn’t about me, but you guys! I’ve learned a lot by reading your posts and hope to do the same for you. When I read about a new book you’re excited about, or when you share your successes, I’m genuinely happy for you. And, I do try to support the community by doing my Top 5 saturday where I share 5 posts from other bloggers I really enjoyed reading.
- Blogging also taught me how to be patient and set realistic expectations.
Again, thank you for your support. I’m really excited about reaching 100 followers. Don’t hesitate to share best practices or insights in the comment section!
Yay, congrats!
Thank you!! I appreciate it. So excited about it. It made my day.
Congrats on 100 followers! 😊💕
Interacting with other readers and supporting bloggers is one of my favorite things about being a blogger. I’m so impressed that you post almost every day, I’d love to have the planning skills and discipline to manage that.
Thank you! 💙
I have no idea how I manage to post so much so far. I’ll try to stick with it, but I don’t force myself to post every day. If I can’t, I can’t.
Yaaay! Congratulations on gaining 100 followers 🙂
Thank you!!! 😊
WOW – it really amazes me that you post everyday!
Book blogging is fun and I love discovering new books to read 😀
