As the title suggests, this page is about me, but beware! You may not come back from it the same. You have been warned…
Ok – First of all, I’m sure you can tell by the picture that I’m a coffee lover and in my opinion, there is something magical about starting each morning with the delicious smell of freshly brewed coffee. I’m a French girl, who moved quite some time ago to the City of Angels and to fully comply with the good ole French cliché, I also love wine, bread, and cheese.
Originally from the Reunion Island, I grew up on a French tropical island located in Indian Ocean off the Coast of Madagascar.
Yes! You assume right.
It is very far away from where I am now. With that said, I’ve traveled a lot and visited incredible countries allowing me to meet so many amazing people along the way.
I studied Literature and Foreign Languages up until my freshman year in college and then I decided to change direction. After graduating from a Business School in Paris, I realized it still wasn’t for me. I worked for three years at a multinational company based in the largest business center in Europe before deciding to complete my education with an MBA in California. I fell in love with sunny California and my now husband, so I stayed. I’m lucky to have married my childhood friend, also from Reunion Island, and we now have a beautiful little boy. I’ve been living here in California for seven years, and I have been working for the same company for over five years.
Writing a novel is relatively new to me, but this is something I’ve always wanted to do but did not have the courage to admit it or pursue it. After having my child, I wanted him to look up to me, so I questioned quite a few things in my life and decided I would stop making excuses and make time to take on this challenge.
I did not tell anyone for a long time about this little secret, but when I knew for sure this is what I wanted, my husband proved himself to be an incredible support. Only one of my best friends knew, helped and supported me since Day 1 and I owe her a lot. I don’t want to live with regrets, and this decision has been extremely therapeutic for me on so many levels. I want to share this boundless joy that writing brings me because working a day job, taking care of a two-year-old, along with everything else isn’t easy every day, but I manage to make this work so far. I’m in this for the long haul and fully intend to write many more books.
My hope is to traditionally publish my Young Adult Fantasy fiction that I’m in the process of editing. This step takes a lot of time, and if we’re really being honest, a bit of my sanity too (LOL), but I certainly hope to get it ready by the end of the year. I’ve always been a daydreamer, a book lover and ideas for stories knock on my door at the most unexpected moments. Six months ago, this story came to me after being frustrated at the end of 3 books I read in the row from different authors within a month period. Don’t get me wrong, the books were excellent, but I was hoping for a different ending. So, I decided I was going to write my own story. One night, I was rocking my baby to sleep relaxing after a long day and the idea for this book just hit me. I’ll tell you more about this book on another post or I might go overboard with the bio… lol…
Ultimately, I want to share this journey with you, along with anything else that might help you to achieve your dreams, but I’m also interested in learning more about writing and welcome any tips that either I or anyone reading this website could benefit from. I truly want to make this site an opportunity for entrepreneurs and writers to find common ground and help each other grow from it. I hope you’ll find what you seek and more.
Thank you for reading and hope to create a wonderful sharing environment for us all!
